Holition Muse Creative Awards 2022

The MUSE Awards is a series of competitions hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA), an organization that has continuously strived to honour creatives and designers for their excellence, regardless of their background or experience in the field.

This year, Holition’s collaborations with the luxury group, Puig, as well as renowned artists and museums such as Jenny Holzer Studio, Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Kunstmuseum Basel, The Barbican Centre, and its collaboration with Collective Act and Team Science for Dreamachine, a featured project under Unboxed Festival 2022: Creativity in the UK have been recognized by the International Awards Associate (IAA).

LIKE BEAUTY IN FLAMES - Museo Guggenheim Bilbao

The combination of word and light plays an important role in Jenny Holzer's work: temporary light installations featuring monumental lettering projected onto buildings and landscapes have been among her best-known works since the 1990s.

Made exclusively for the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao’s collection, Holition created a standalone mobile application for Holzer’s LIKE BEAUTY IN FLAMES, which features texts by Holzer as well as fragments by other authors she admires, including the app’s title, which is borrowed from Polish poet Anna Świrszczyńska’s poem “Beauty Dies.” Through immersive technologies, three distinct augmented reality experiences within the vicinity of the Guggenheim, its surroundings, and anywhere in the world, are revealed.
