01. Challenge - Grabbing Big Data By The Reigns
Holition partnered with shopping and lifestyle shopping app, Grabble, to develop an artistic real-time visual representation showing the vast amount of data Grabble received during any given week. The real-time visualisation analysed £50m of 'Grabbed' items (the fashion, beauty and lifestyle products saved into people’s digital wish-lists) by male and female users active in a week - allowing for popular trends and patterns to emerge.

02. Solution - Establishing A Flow
The colourful piece of digital art demonstrated how fluidly and consistently visitors to the side were 'Grabbing' products throughout the day and through to the night and cross-referenced this data across time, gender and retailer.
Out of this information, Holition designed an imaginative data visualisation where the data flowed in a circular motion towards a central hub, making it possible to see, the best performing products by gender, brand, price and even timing of the ‘grab’ in one swift glance.

03. Insight - Turning Dashes In Excel Into Shareable Art
Dan Murray, Co-founder at Grabble said: "We see at least 1m interactions per day through the app but with Holition's help, we've been able to transform dots and dashes into a stylish and engaging piece of art. It's not only aesthetically appealing but will be useful for the many retailers we work with in helping them visualise the buying patterns of our audiences at different times of the day/week."
Holition’s data visualisation for Grabble was unveiled at Millennial 20/20 The Future of NextGen Commerce and continues to be a strong case study for ways to creatively interpretat data.
