01. Challenge - Fostering a deep connection with consumers through shared purpose.

 

In line with World Ocean’s Day 2024, La Mer collaborated with Holition to create a social-first activation that will inspire two-way conversations with Gen Z social natives interested in sustainability.


To amplify the #LaMerBlueHeart mission, the experience aimed to foster meaningful connections with consumers who share a commitment to ocean conservation and climate action, and drive earned media value and user-generated content for the brand.

02. Solution - Encouraging collective participation through the Blue Heart Filter.

 

La Mer's Blue Heart initiative is dedicated to supporting marine conservation efforts globally through raising awareness about the vital role oceans play in the health of the planet. Through Blue Heart, La Mer aims to inspire a deeper connection to the sea and promote sustainable practices that combat climate change.

 

Inspired by La Mer’s Blue Heart narrative - ‘The Sea Speaks, Let’s Listen,’ Holition developed the Blue Heart filter - a social-led experience that celebrates our connection with the sea, and the ripples of change we can collectively create through our individual climate actions.

Available on La Mer’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, the experience features gamified interaction, each symbolising a pledge to contribute to ocean conservation efforts. 

 

For every use of the filter, each individual can share their unique climate action pledges across social media, promoting a collective effort toward sustainability.

The Blue Heart Filter on Instagram and TikTok not only engages La Mer’s audience in a meaningful and interactive way but also strengthens the brand’s connection with consumers through a shared commitment to ocean conservation. This experience not only enhances brand loyalty but also creates a powerful movement of like-minded individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet.
