We are honoured to have been recognised by Digiday for Best Physical Retail Launch at the 2020 Glossy Beauty Awards for our work with the leading beauty destination in the Gulf Cooperation Council, FACES.
As pioneers in beauty retail in the region, Faces has become an undeniable leader in the fragrance, makeup and skincare space, by creating real emotional connections with consumers in every beauty moment.
Our collaboration with FACES sought to introduce the Store of the Future: a next-generation space that provides hyper-personalised recommendations based on users’ individual emotions and needs.
Working with natural consumer choreography in a retail context, we created a ‘digital playground’ of sorts, which featured four unique digital experiences in-store.
1. Fragrance Bar: A personalised tool to help customers discover which fragrance is right for them or to help them find a gift for someone special.
2. Test Bar: A phygital ‘test and play’ approach to a connected shelf, empowering customers to creatively learn about ingredients, customer reviews and packaging information for products they interact with.
3. Gift Wizard: An interactive display that uses personality diagnostics to help users find the right gift for a specific occasion.
4. Magic Mirror: The easiest way to ‘try before you buy’, powered by FACE by Holition™ (Holition’s hyper-realistic augmented reality software) is an experiential trip into the world of virtual cosmetics, allowing users to try on digital makeup looks, take a selfie, share it and obtain essential product information through an Instagrammable format.
