Lacoste | LS12 Sneaker Drop Projection Map
0.1 Challenge - 'Champion the Revival of Lacostes Iconic Eclair Sneaker'

LS12 Lacoste 3D projection mapping
3D projection was the best storytelling mechanism, as the team could leverage the diverse power of lighting and imagery
0.2 Solution - A Foreign Canvas
Through understanding the design process and the inspiration for the collection, the team explored the focus for the narrative. It was decided that 3D projection was the best storytelling mechanism, as the team could leverage the diverse power of lighting and imagery to create a visually stimulating projection onto the 3d 2 metre long shoe. Though, since projection mapping is usually done on flat surfaces, and the team had to create a bespoke mapping process to ensure the projection was snug to the contours of the shoe.
0.3 Insight - An Effective Medium
The 250+ guests at London’s Shoreditch Studios who were privvy to the show that reincarnated the heritage Lacoste sneaker through this abstract medium, were thoroughly mesmerised at the sheer scale, accuracy and complexity of the visual. The project spawned followup projection mapping work for Holition and has now become one of our core strengths.
